Las semillas se colocan en recipientes alveolares entre la tercera decena de febrero y la segunda decena de marzo.<br>Una vez que las pl\u00e1ntulas han desarrollado 4\/5 hojas, se trasplantan en campo abierto, a mano, en un peque\u00f1o agujero hecho con una p\u00faa de madera (2\u00aa d\u00e9cada de mayo - 1\u00aa d\u00e9cada de junio).<br>La recolecci\u00f3n se lleva a cabo en varias etapas a partir de los diez primeros d\u00edas de agosto, cuando las bayas alcanzan la madurez adecuada.<br>Una vez recolectados, los pimientos se almacenan durante al menos dos o tres d\u00edas al abrigo de la luz y, a continuaci\u00f3n, se ensartan manualmente en un cordel por el ped\u00fanculo, utilizando una aguja grande, para formar los llamados \"serta\", collares de 1,50-2 metros de longitud.
